Kristine Stiphany, PhD, AIA is the founder of the Chapa Civic Data Lab, and her research centers on participatory technologies for social justice and design in urban built environments, especially as relates to the construction and governance of informal housing in Latin America. Kristine is currently an assistant professor of architecture at Texas Tech University, where she teaches Latin American studios about urban data, housing and resilience in Brazil, Ecuador, and Mexico.
